Dora The Explorer Birthday Party

I recently went to a 2 year old Dora the Explorer Birthday Party with my toddler and we both loved it. The little two year old is a very big Dora the Explorer fan and she totally delighted in having a Dora theme for her birthday. There are so many party supplies for Dora that it would be a very easy theme to adopt.

Below you will find two Dora birthday books that I think would be a popular gift if you were attending a Dora party. The wonderful thing about letting your child fall in love with an 'on=screen' character like Dora the Explorer is you can introduce this character in books and puzzles to encourage your child to foster a love of reading.

I love the idea of the 'Towel Cake' as well. I'm not sure a 2 year old would quite understand that you couldn't eat it, but what a great thought for cake!

If you were wanting an activity to do with toddlers at a Dora the Explorer Birthday Party I suggest a Dora music collection. Put it on and let the children have a great dance party.

My other suggestion would be to have a Dora Pinata. This is a great activity to do with toddlers.

A Surprise Party
Help Dora and her pals as they plan a surprise party for their friend Isa the iguana!

One parent said "My daughter had The Surprise Party and A Day at the Beach since she was 6 months old. She's now 13 months old. We lost "A Day at the Beach" because we were carrying the two books everywhere with us. The Surprise Party is in shreds from reading it over and over again. She loves the story, point out the characters and different items in the book, like hats and balloons. Most of all she loves to yell "Surprise, Happy Birthday Isa!" and clap when it's time. Even though this book is always out and available she never lost interest in it. We always carry it with us in the car and at restaurants."
