Goodnight Moon BookIn the Goodnight Moon Book there is a great green room, tucked away in bed, is a little bunny. "Goodnight room, goodnight moon." And to all the familiar things in the softly lit room--to the picture of the three little bears sitting in chairs, to the clocks and his socks, to the mittens and the kittens, to everything one by one--he says goodnight. In this classic of modern children's literature, beloved by generations of readers and listeners, the quiet poetry of the words and the gentle, lulling illustrations combine to make a perfect book for the end of the day. Goodnight Moon Book Reviewby Margaret Wise Brown and Clement Hurd (Illustrator) Book Review by: Chronicle of an Infant Bibliophile I must be one of the only people that doesn't remember reading this classic tale about bedtime as a child. Still, I've heard it mentioned enough that I went hunting for it. The board book wasn't available, so we settled for the full sized version (which I'm glad about really). On the opening page, a bunny lays in bed in a "great green room," filled with objects that the reader bids goodnight, page by page. At first, I was disappointed that he wouldn't look at it. But after a few days, it made a fast recovery, aided by the appeal of a red balloon. Now I'm contemplating buying a copy for our collection. Anything that encourages sleep is welcome around here! Excerpt: "Goodnight light and the red balloon/ Goodnight bears/Goodnight chairs." Infant's Interest: Goodnight Moon GameThe Goodnight Moon Game At the beginner's level, children match cards to identical images on the game board. Includes four playing boards, 24 matching cards, and the rules. Winner of the Parents' Choice Gold Award and the Oppenheim Toy Portfolio Platinum Best Toy Award. Goodnight Moon Game is for one to four players. --Elizabeth WardRead the Amazon Customer Reviews Goonight Moon Puzzle![]() If your child or grandchild knows Goodnight Moon, they will love this. It is a quality product and so much fun for the kids. Four year olds can probably do it by themselves and younger kids may need a little help.
