The back cover of
'On Becoming Baby
Wise' states that it is an "exciting infant management plan that
successfully and naturally trains children to sleep through the night
before the age of eight weeks." Now what parent wouldn't want
their baby to sleep through the night from the age of eight
weeks?

A response from a
mother of twins to our review of 'On Becoming Baby Wise'
I have twin boys and they are now 6 years old. I read this book while
pregnant with them and this is my comment to all new moms.
"This book literally made my life so much easier… I now go back and see
the way my kids behave and the way other kids do and I’m very happy I
did what I had to do.
I’m warning you, I have been there…It is going to be though to follow
the book being first time mom and more if you have multiples, also
doing anything (camping, or grocery shopping) is going to be tough
because it could spoil the routine…,but if you follow this book by the
LETTER…you will have a great life with your kids. I usually don’t read
books like that and do what they tell me to do…but this one is
different, it is real and true. You have to grow tough skin and enjoy
every minute you have with your babies.
This book was meant for single babies but there are parts where it
explains if you have multiples what to do or expect.
I think that if I had only one kid I might of left the book on the
shelf to collect dust, but with twins I gave it a shot and I’m glad I
did, besides my mom gave it to me and she kept asking me if I read
it…but I thank her every day for it.
Not only you have to grow though skin, but Dad has to follow too, he
does not have to read the book, but he has to do what you tell him to
do…sit down with him and tell him “If you want to sleep at night and
have very well behaved children…listen!”
Also grandparents if they are going to help, they have to follow your
schedule, they are the toughest ones to control…but again keep in the
back of your mind, if they spoiled your routine…you have to start
over…don’t give up …it is never too late to start! This book is only
good until the kids are 2 years old, after that you don’t need anything
else…spoil them a little and don’t worry about routines as much…they
are used to it and will do good. My kids started to go to bed at 8pm
and woke up or started to make noise at about 6am when they were 9 wks
old."
I can’t ask for better behaved kids
